macOS 10.15.2 has fixed sonic booms on some 16-inch MBPs

A minor accident occurred on Apple’s new 16-inch MacBook Pro – some users noticed sonic booms in the new product, and Apple has confirmed the problem and promised that it would be fixed through a software update.

Apple has pushed a series of software updates yesterday, including those for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS and so on. In the macOS Catalina 10.15.2 update, Apple seems to have fixed the sonic boom on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The MacRumors forum reported that some users who have installed macOS Catalina 10.15.2 update said that the issue of sonic boom had  been eliminated in the new version of the system. After installing the update and trying to play via VLC, Safari, Chrome, Netflix, YouTube, Premiere Pro, and Amazon Prime Video, they found no sonic boom.

The release of macOS Catalina may reduce the complaints of Mac iTunes users about Apple’s bloated media management and player applications, but for Windows users, the pain seems to continue indefinitely. Which devices support macOS Catalina’s “Sidecar”?

Apple has just released macOS Catalina with several new features, including the “Sidecar.” Using a Mac with the latest operating system and an iPad with iPadOS 13, you can turn your iPad into a second fully interactive display, which is “Sidecar.” However, to interact with Mac systems via iPad, users must have a newer iPad and Mac.

Apple has decided that “Sidecar” is limited to iPads that support Apple Pencil. If the old iPad you have on hand cannot be used with Apple Pencil, you won’t be able to use the iPad as a second display even if you upgrade to iPadOS 13. The “Sidecar” is not available for the following models:

Apple admitted the serious Bluetooth security vulnerability and fixed it

The Bluetooth SIG, the official body responsible for wireless communication technology standards, has admitted that there is a serious Bluetooth security vulnerability that can make it easier for attackers to force pairing with your device.

The Bluetooth connection works when both devices agree to connect. One sends a request, the other must accept it, and authenticates the identity of the device by exchanging the public key and generates an encryption key for the connection to ensure the security.
