Seamless Switch to Mac: Windows Migration Assistant can transfer more data
New features allow users to switch from Windows to macOS more seamlessly.
Apple is extending the functions of Windows Migration Assitant for macOS 10.14 Mojave, which allow users to switch from Windows to macOS more seamlessly.
In macOS Mojave beta 6 which was released today, users can transfer more data to Mac. Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant now can transfer account information, documents, emails, contact persons’ information, calendar items, etc.
Before that, Windows Migration Assistant was unable to import date from Microsoft Outlook and other third-party services. It could only import local data of the computer, like data from desktop and folders.
Although it is a great progress for Windows Migration Assistant, the program is still at a beta stage. Therefore, I don’t suggest doing this migration in case of unexpected issues.
